John A. Rodney
John A. Rodney of Honolulu, passed away on January 4, 2022.
He was born January 28, 1942, in Greencastle, Indiana, to John H. and Katherine M. (Rossok) Rodney.
He grew up in Alexandria, Indiana, and lived there until 1995.
John worked at Delco Remy for 31.5 years, retiring in 1993. Shortly after retiring, he and his wife, Judy, relocated to the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, where he lived until his death.
John was an avid golfer and active in many lodges over the years, including Masonic Lodge, Shriners, FOE Eagles and BPOE Elks of Alexandria, and Knights of Pythias in Honolulu.
He had many beloved friends and family that he enjoyed seeing each summer when he would travel back to Anderson and Alexandria.
John is survived by his wife, Judy of Honolulu; his daughter, Ann Marie Rodney Suter of Pendleton; and grandsons, Blake and Evan; his son, Joseph Rodney (Bekah Snyder) of Anderson and grandson, Noah and granddaughter, Alia; stepson, Dennis Skoczylas (Annette) of North Carolina; stepdaughter, Denise (Don) of Florida; and many cousins in Greencastle.
John also has four stepchildren from his first marriage, Derek (Kathie) Wilbur of Alexandria, David (Debbie) Wilbur, Diane Philpott and Daniel Wilbur of Anderson.
His parents, John H. and Katherine M. (Rossok) Rodney; and his brother, James E. Rodney, preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be in Hawaii on Jan. 31, 2022.
