Last summer, scientists sent over 100 Hawaiian bobtail squid up on a rocket ship and into orbit. Why? That was our first question too. The Conversation spoke with lead researcher Jamie Foster, who completed her doctorate at the University of Hawaiʻi, about what became of Hawaiʻi’s littlest astronauts. Foster is now with the University of Florida.
